Circle, Square, Moose by Kelly Bingham, pictures by Paul O. Zelinsky is the hilarious sequel to Z is for Moose. I read this to Kindergarten and First Graders last week and they loved it! Zebra steps in to help get Moose under control, but Moose ends up saving the day.
The pictures were done with mixed media; it looks like pencil or graphite with watercolors, and maybe colored pencils too. They are clear, crisp and perfect except for when Moose steps in and messes everything up. The best kind of picture book is fun, colorful, and kids want to read it again. This title fits the bill. I've already recommended it to teachers, parents and children, and will continue to do so. Bingham and Zelinsky are a great team.
