The Midnight Library by Kazuno Kohara is delightful. It's about a library that is only open at night. It's the best of all possible worlds library with a quiet reading room, an activity room when some patrons want to be too noisy, and a story corner for sharing books. Of course no library is complete without the helpful librarian that gets you a card so you can take your favorite book home with you.
The linocuts are offset with purpley blue, black and orange. I can see using this with preschoolers and Kindergarteners, and for those classes that come for a visit to the library. All the best things about a library for children, except when it's for animals. (The picture from our library catalog is off in color)
