Thoughtful Thursday

It's an Orange Aardvark! by Michael Hall is digital die-cut delight. These carpenter ants hear a strange noise.  Being a bit parnoid, they think it's an aardvark trying to get to them and eat them.   The ant with a yellow helmet is drilling holes in the stump to see out, the one in the red helmet is quite the alarmist, and the blue helmeted ants just follow along.
The digitally created illustrations incorporate acrylic painted textures and torn paper.  They story and art builds up the suspense and just when you think all those rainbow colors must be harmless....Wham! Bam! Read the book to find out!  Prek to second graders will love this story.  I can't wait to share it in Storytime.
