Nat the Cat Can Sleep Like That words by Victoria Allenby, illustrations by Tara Anderson is the story of a kitten and a cat. One is full of play during the day and the other sleeps all over the place until nighttime. We get to see these felines up close. The kitten seems to marvel at how the older cat can sleep through anything and anywhere. The rhyming, lyrical text is as much fun and these feline companions.
The original art is rendered in mixed media using Prismacolor pencil crayon, watercolor, gouache, acrylic paint, and glaze on 300-pound hot press Fabriano watercolor paper. The pictures have deep texture and color. The characteristics of the kitten and cat are brought out very well in this rich artwork.
