How to Hide a Lion by Helen Stephens is bright and cheerful. This story has humor and kindness in it. Iris hides a lion, and mom almost finds him. He gets away and becomes the town hero.
Children will want to read this again and again. Iris is spunky and good-natured and not at all afraid of a lion. The lion isn't mean or prone to eating people, he was simply looking for a hat.
You'll love this story too! The art appears to be watercolors and ink, maybe some crayon or pastels. I'll use this in Preschool Storytime as well as with Kindergarteners and 1st graders.
