Mrs. Honey's Hat written and illustrated by Pam Adams was a favorite of my niece, Olivia. She had me read it again and again and again. It's a classic cumulative story where Mrs. Honey has a hat with a lot of stuff on it. And as the days go on each item is replaced with something else, not as nice. We liked it so much, I went online and bought a doll with items to go on the hat for my niece to play with.
This title was first published in 1980 and has an old-fashioned feel to it. The illustrations appear to be done in watercolor and ink.
I use this with PreK-2nd grade. It's a terrific title to use for days of the week, narrative skills, and playing with the book because it's fun and silly.
