We March by Shane W. Evans is inspirational and moving. We follow a family that marches on Washington D. C. on August 28, 1963. I love the attention to detail: the little boy's socks look like sock material. Shane Evans' style in his illustrations ranges from traditional oil paintings to computer generated imagery. This book is mixed media and appears to be pencil, cut paper and paint. Check out Shane Evan's Website. I don't see this title, but it this website is listed on the back flap, so it's the latest information for Shane Evans.
This story reads simple and the artwork is deceptively quiet, but it reads volumes on an important historical event.
