Snow Angel Love
The Snow Angel by Glenn Beck, illustrated by Brandon Dorman is a trifle tear-jerky, but it is still a lovely story. It may be tear-jerky because I could use some snow angel love. With my husband out of work, a lot feels too heavy for my shoulders, right now. In the story, the brother and sister are tired of the same dinner every night, and not getting to see their parents very much because they are working late shifts and as much as they can. The illustrations were rendered digitally. The story would be helpful for any families experiencing job loss or money issues. It's not a winter story, but the grandmother shares a story from her childhood that is set in winter. This is also an inter-generational story that could be used during a theme about grandparents.
