Catch the Reading Bug

The Allen County Parks came to show off some Indiana Insects

We learned about Indiana's role in the migration of the Monarch.

A close up view of the larvae stage...

...then the pupa stage.

While trying to find some small water insects, this tadpole was found still with it's tail and almost a frog.

And no insect program would be complete with out the Madagascar hissing cockroaches, which aren't native to Indiana, but many have them as pets.

We had some colorful insect crafts: stamps, stencils and rubbing plates.
