Cloud Storytime

We had a cloud storytime a couple of weeks back. The books I used were:
Cloud Dance by Thomas Locker - beautiful paintings, lots of color
Elsina's Clouds by Jeanette Winter - good story
It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles G. Shaw - simple and a classic
Little Cloud by Eric Carle - big size, good pics, fun story

Extra books on display:
The Cloud Book by Tomie de Paola - descriptive story, but too small for a large group
Cloud Boy by Rhode Montijo - cute smaller book, the cloud boy makes shapes of the other clouds, good with a smaller group
Dreams by Peter Spier - a wonderful wordless book, great for one on one or very small groups
Once Upon a Cloud by Rob D. Walker - fanciful fantasy about how clouds are made

Black Clouds
Black clouds gather in the sky,
Soon it's going to storm.
Lightning, thunder, run inside,
And we'll be safe and warm.

Cloudy today
(tune: Bingo)
Today the clouds are in the sky,
and cloudy is the weather.
C-L-O-U-D-Y, C-L-O-U-D-Y, C-L-O-U-D-Y.
And cloudy is the weather.

Floating Cloud
(tune: Frere Jacque)
Clouds are floating, clouds are floating,
Up so high, up so high,
Floating up above us, floating up above us,
In the sky, in the sky

Did You Ever See A Cloud
(tune: Did you ever see a lassie)
Did you ever see a cloud
A cloud, a cloud,
Did you ever see a cloud
That looked like a bear?
A big one, a little one,
A lazy one, a funny one,
Did you ever see a cloud
that looked like a bear?
Did you ever see a cloud
A cloud a cloud
Did you ever see a cloud
That looked like a plane
A big one, a little one,
A fast one, a slow one,
Did you ever see a cloud
That looked like a plane?

When I Look Into The Sky
(tune: Twinkle twinkle)
When I look into the sky
I can see the clouds go by
They don't ever make a sound
Letting wind push them around
Some go fast and some go slow
I wonder where the clouds all go?
